Rate Increase

To meet the demand for water service we must make improvements to the water system including a 750,000-gallon elevated water storage tank, 10 magnetic flow meters, pressure transducers, SCADA improvements, 41,000 linear feet of waterline ranging in size from 6" through 12", a duplex booster pump station with a backup generator, and all fittings, valves, fencing, erosion control and incidentals needed to construct a working project.  Creek County RWD#2 applied for and received a $13,140,000.00 loan from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund.  The district also applied for and was granted a $1,000,000.00 Loan Forgiveness Grant.  The remaining amount financed through the DWSRF will be around $12,140,000.00. The Budget Committee recommended, and the Board of Directors approved an initial $5.00 a month increase beginning August 1, 2023 for each membership, followed by an additional increase approved at the March 12, 2024 meeting in the amount of $2.50 beginning on the May 1st 2024 membership base.  The increase will fund costs associated with the water system. This project is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act requirements.
